The things crews ask us first

Straight answers to what builders and supervisors want to know before they roll NORV out on a job.

Frequently asked questions

Does NORV work when there is no phone signal on site?

Yes. NORV is a progressive web app built for low-signal sites — it keeps loading when the tower drops out and syncs the punch as soon as the phone reconnects. The GPS fix is captured on the device, not from the network.

How accurate is the geofenced clock-on?

NORV uses the phone's GPS to confirm the worker is inside the site boundary you set per project. You choose the radius, so a tight inner-city site and a sprawling rural block each get a sensible fence.

Do I pay per worker?

There is a low monthly base plus a small per-user fee. Because the base is fixed, the more of your crew you add, the lower the effective cost per seat.

What happens after the free trial?

The 14-day trial needs no credit card. If you do nothing, the account simply goes read-only — your data stays safe and nothing is charged. Add a plan whenever you are ready to keep writing changes.

Can workers see each other's pay or hours?

No. Workers only see their own schedule and punches. Wages, cost rates, and the job-cost dashboard are visible to managers only, enforced at the server, not just hidden in the interface.

Is NORV built for Australian conditions?

Yes. Money is in AUD, overtime is banded against award penalty rates, clients carry an ABN, and the whole product is designed around how Australian builders and trades actually run a job.

How long does it take to get the crew set up?

Register the company in under a minute, invite the crew by email or link, and the first clock-on can fire before lunch. There is no app-store download to chase — it opens in the phone's browser.
